The Final ElCap Report 6/14/11

Yo… Beautiful day here once again.  The Good News is that activity is heating up on all major routes.  The Bad News is that this is the final report that I will be writing on this site, unless I am able to arrange something different, for the internet, in the future.  I was hoping to make it to the end of the month before retiring the Report, but I can’t make it… so this is the Final  ElCap Report.

Yo… Another of many beautiful days here in the Valley.  The river is higher today and going up further.  The falls are really booming… you should be here Puke!!  Good climbing conditions and an influx of Korean climbers from Team Extreme will insure some good shots in the coming days.  The school actually instructs their students to dress brightly and not to carry sticks!  American’s take heed!

Yo… Sweet one here today in the Valley.  High overcast made for good shooting and climbing too.  The Park was jammed but the traffic not so bad, as NPS Traffic abandoned the ridiculous road plan of Memorial day and went back to directing traffic with Rangers an helpers.   As always these folks work their asses off and made things move along, as they will do given the chance.  I hear the traffic got much worse later.  The Captain could use a few more teams!  Anyway, I need to get this done, as I am really tired this evening and need some shut eye.

Yo… Another great day here in Yosemite.  Big action on the great rock.  Weather seems to have stabilized but the rivers are overflowing threatening some campgrounds.  My site was part of the river last night but it retreated in the morning.  Fortunately I sleep on an air mattress!  Several stunts for TV are in the planning/production stage and I will keep you posted as I learn details.  Saddle up cowpukes and get ready for more of the best climbing on the planet in today’s ECR.

Yo… Fabulous weather is upon us!  The Captain is getting the attention it has been missing for a month or more.  The environs around the Nose are jammed at the moment.  Other routes are getting attention too.
So break out your shorts, tank tops, and sunglasses and come up on the Cap for the adventure of a lifetime!

Yo… Yep, it did rain quite hard last night.  Several teams took that as an excuse to bail from their climbs… weather Pukes!  The day dawned clear and bright and continued to be an excellent climbing day with moderate temps and full sun.  The Nose was once again the center of attention with lots of action.  Lurking Fear is also popular in spite of the hoof required to get over there.  My Korean friends, the Team Extreme Riders, arrived at the Bridge today after the long trip from home.  IC Kang introduced me to the new and old members of the team of 5 who will soon be climbing on the Cap.  Great climbing days lie ahead and I will be your man at the center of the epicenter of American big wall climbing.  So settle in and get your ducks in a row because the season is on and you can expect to read about it all!
