ElCap Report 6/12/11
By Tom Evans

Yo… Another beautiful day here, one of many to come, according to the weather people.  Kind of late tonight and I need to get this on the road.. So…
Today’s ElCap Report… written just for you.. unique in all the world!

Zodiac:  The 5 man Korean team moved into the White Circle today and spent the better part of on the long center pitch.  The crew spent a lot of time waiting around to move up.  They need to pick up the pace a bit.

ZM:  Mark Hudon climbed the famous and extremely photogenic Lightning Bolt Roofs pitch first thing this morning and when I left at 4:40 he had just finished the 9 o’clock roof pitch.  He looks good and is moving extremely well.

Nose:  Two teams were seen on day 2 of their climb and did the KS and were headed to the Great Roof as I departed.
Two teams, one a mixed team, climbing into and up the Stovelegs in the afternoon.

Muir:  Matt Seymour is at the start of the nutting pitch where he was yesterday and appears to have fallen and severely injured his left ankle.  He has tried to self-rescue but is unable to do so.  YOSAR is going to get him off in the morning.  Best of luck to all involved.

Salathe:  A team of nicely dressed climbers went to Hollow Flake with bags this afternoon.

Out West… I didn’t get there today.

In other news:  Really fun day at the Bridge today.  Loads of climbers came by all day, including many who had just come down from ascents of the Captain.
