ElCap Report 6/22/07

 By Tom Evans

Yo... Friday night and I have some things to do.... so this is the short sweet version...straight from the Bulgarian Flashes Crocks, unwashed, right to your computer... here it is for today... the Elcap Report....

Zodiac: Wigball and holly are climbing off as I type these words after a casual climb.. The appear to be three Korean climbers starting the route and were going out on the 4th pitch when I left.. Martina and Peter came by this afternoon, just down from the route and mentioned that it was super clean, meaning no fixed gear...

NA Wall... the push became a shove and the shove has turned into a nudge.. they climbed off this afternoon and will be glad it is over I think.

The Ranch: did see Kate do a nice lead this morning and then they spent the afternoon moving things up the wall... the Tourons seemed enchanted with the idea of a 14 day climb... we were less so...

Nose: the orange bag team did the King Swing and then climbed past the great roof when I left. Andy and Anna were seen just above camp 5 this morning and I didn’t see them again.. suspect they will be off early this evening... Team of 3 spotted on the early pitches... maybe the Korean team I had heard rumors about... also Kyle and friend were seen to be dragging behind them.. Team push to shove is leaving in a couple hours to do the first part of the route in the evening and dark.. Tim, chuck, Erik ... should be an interesting climb...

Salathe: Did see a team on the headwall this afternoon... who are they?

That is it for today... sorry for not writing the usual BS but I have some other stuff to do... So that's the way it is at the bridge today.

Bye Bye, ECP”s
