Yo... short and sweet today as I have a program to give at the lodge in a little while...

Zodiac: Peter and Martina went back up to the route with additional water and are planning on blasting tomorrow..

Lost in America.. the Korean team bailed this morning, Don’t know what happened maybe just the heat...

Trip: The solo climber made another pitch today in his steady style... seems impervious to the heat that lad...top of the golden corner this afternoon...

Aurora: Korean team back on the route in force with several members moving supplies up to the bat cave... their leader lead the pitch out of the cave in the shade this morning...

The Ranch. Pete and Kate are moving along. I haven’t seen them on the lead yet as they spend the part of the day I am there dealing with the logistics of so many bags... but they seem to be a pitch higher each day... maybe climbing in the cool or morning or evening...

Mescalito. When I arrived at 9:30am they were starting the last pitch and were off by noon... nice work guys!! New Dawn Ian and Josh were smoking up the route today having done the traverse into the Harding corners leading up to wine tower...the lads just might make the whole thing in the allotted 4 days... far from the walk of shame they were once threatened with !!!

Nose: The Truckee Three did the great roof this morning and were on the pitch into camp 5 when I went over to the west side to check on their progress.. Off tomorrow?

Salathe Julia and John were seen hauling up the fixed lines late this afternoon and getting ready for the start in the morning...

In other news... today was my birthday and Mara made a nice lunch for all the monkeys who came by to celebrate.. many kind folks came by and we had plenty of food and drink and endless stories.... climbing luminaries too numerous to mention came by to enjoy the good company and food ... thanks to all of you...

So that’s the way it is on the ElCap bridge for June 16th 2007...
